Comic Book Movies We'd Like To See, Japan edition

According to Animaxis, Japanese entertainment magazine Oricon Style recently took a survey to find out which titles manga readers in Japan wanted to see adapted into a live-action movie.

The actual poll results are posted on Oricon's site. I was able the wrangle the rankings into English and the results are as follows:

Observations:
- Titles that made the women's list but not the men's: Ouran High School Host Club, Honey and Clover*, Chobits (!)
- Titles that made the men's list but not the women's: Kogyoaika Volley Boys, Wangan Midnight, Negima
- Naoki Urasawa and Kaiji Kawaguchi had the rare distinction of multiple works showing up on the list (Monster, 20th Century Boys and Master Keaton for Urasawa; Silent Service and Zipang for Kawaguchi).
- Long-running, classic, and childhood-nostalgia titles hold as much sway as anything that's "hot" right now.

*Well, they won't have to wait that long.
