It would seem that due to a series of unfortunate events, Ikimashou.net has lost its domain to some evil domain thieves. Fortunately, the site is now hosted at http://dasaku.net/. Best of lucks to Ikimashou in getting its domain back…but $600 sounds like a bit too much, ouch. I wonder what will happen to the blog’s name now that “Ikimashou.net” is “gone”?

For those interested, ComiPress’ domain registrar is Moniker, supposedly one of the most secure registrars–Looking at the number of steps one needs to follow just to change a password, I would like to agree.

So being bored today, I took a look at some of CP’s stats…more specifically, seach engine referers, which checks what search queries visitors looked up in their favorite search engines and ended up at CP. Interesting results ensues.

Names are always tricky things…especially when you need to credit a site, and the site’s name appear in different formats, below are a few variations I’ve seen people call CP:

ComiPress has its very own blog!

Why a blog? Well, everyone else is doing it! Well…maybe not, but after ComiPress’ move from WordPress to Drupal, WordPress has gone through a lot of upgrades, wanting to try out new and shiny stuff, I figured it won’t hurt to create a blog as an excuse to play around with WordPress once again ;)

This blog will also be a place where CP staff can post their random musings (now if anyone of them will actually post here…*cracks whip*). Other things to expect might be anything that doesn’t appear on the frontpage (a lot, sometimes), stuff that aren’t manga-related, behind-the-scene stuff, and ramblings (and complaints) in general to appear here.

The blog still needs some polish, so expect it to be prettier as time goes on. Also, more features might or might not be added.

Well, that’s it for now…by the way, extra special points to anyone who can guess the significance of the launch date of this blog ;)
