But can I? Has it been done before? I have a bit of experience in writing and I should be able to find an artist without too much trouble, but are there any publishers willing to publish an original English language light novel - or has anyone ever attempted it? I know projects like this have been somewhat successful with manga (Megatokyo), but I haven't heard anything about light novels originating from the Western world. Any tips, suggestions, or even info would be appreciated; knowledge is the first step to victory, or something like that xP

Hi, I'm a light novel author myself, writing about 4. Along with a full novel length fantasy trilogy.

We are actually putting together a light novel magazine here to publish online, light novel authors from english speaking countries.

As for actually getting published, my two ideas, as it has never been done before, is to get your finished light novel translated into perfect Japanese, and sumbit it into the Dengenki Light Novel Contest. OR, send it to a US Publishor and demand that they publish it in both the US and JAPAN at the same time and that it be published in the normal style of a light novel.

I am also a fan of light novel. I always read some every time I finished my household chores. I'm currently reading the "Spice and Wolf" and I love it. Why don't you try it also?
