Chibi Maruko-chan by Momoko Sakura has sold over 10,000,190 copies in China, becoming one of the best-selling "official" manga in China.

Yes and no, the title is Chibi Maruko-chan, I don't remember the details, but I think someone in China started publishing it without the license, and claimed it to be their property. Later there was a dispute between the JP publisher and the Chinese one, and the Chinese side won, so it's now China's original manga or something.
