From Active Anime comes Del Rey's August 2007 release schedule:

August 2007 manga from Del Rey Books and Kodansha announced. Plus Alive The FInal Evolution Volume 1 to street on July 31st.

ANN reports that Del Rey has announced at their AnimeNEXT panel two new acquisitions:

MangaCast points out that Del Rey has acquired Basilisk author Masaki Segawa's Yagyu Ninja Scrolls. The manga, which was licensed during NYCC, is currently listed on Del Rey's release schedule for Q4 2007 (PDF). The first volume will be released in October 2007.

From Pink Raygun comes an interview with Camilla D'Errico, artist of Del Rey's Make 5 Wishes,a manga that features Avril Lavigne as one of its characters.

Tokyopop is current hosting a preview of Make 5 Wishes, the upcoming American manga from Del Rey that is created in collaboration with pop superstar Avril Lavigne.

Del Rey will release the English edition of the Train Man (Densha Otoko) novel by Hitori Nakano April 24th. Currently three different versions of the Train Man manga are being released by Del Rey, Viz Media, and CMX.

According to Publishers Marketplace, Del Rey is looking for a new Associate Publicist. The candidate needs to have "2-5 years publicity experience in book publishing and knowledge of the media, marketplace and competition, preferably in the Sci-Fi / Fantasy/ Manga/ Graphic Novel genres. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. Excellent writing skills also required. Need to be creative, assertive, personable and persuasive."
