Erica Friedman, founder of the only 100% Yuri publisher, ALC Publishing, will be signing books at Jim Hanley's Universe in New York City on January 16th, at 6:30 PM.

Joining Erica will be author JD Glass and artist Abby Denson, for a night of GLBT-themed comics, novels and manga, sponsored by Prism Comics. Jim Hanley's Universe is located at 4 West 33rd St. on 5th Avenue, just across from the Empire State Building.

topIchijinsha's Comic Yurihime, a successor publication to Sun Magazine's Yuri Shimai, has always been an "add-on" magazine to Ichijinsha's own ZERO-SUM.

Starting with Comic Yurihime Vol.11, onsale 1/18, Comic Yurihime will finally become its own magazine.

To celebrate, Comic Yurihime's editorial department has planned various treats. Aside from special covers and a "Petit Yurihime" booklet that will come with Comic Yurihime Vol.11, there will also be special collaboration series between Comic Yurihime, Comic Yurihime S and Yurihime Wildrose.

The Okazu blog reports that Rica Takashima, creator of the yuri manga Rica 'tte Kanji!?, has given permission to a Spanish scanlation group to scanlate her manga.

Also mentioned is a new Yuricon toolbar, as well a Polish interview with Eriko Tadeno.

Ichijinsha, publisher of the yuri manga magazine Comic Yurihime, has included a ecchi/yuri manga titled Yurihime Wildrose with the latest issue of Comic Yurihime. A brief preview of the manga from Akiba Blog can be seen here.

According to Okazu, the manga Yuri Monogatari was nominated for this year's Lambda Book Award:

[...] Yuri Monogatari 3 was nominated for this year's Lambda Book Award from the Lambda Literary Foundation, the country???s leading organization for LGBT literature. While YM3 did not win, merely being nominated is a tremendous honor!
