Announcement

Edit: The Proofer Hunt is over! A big thank you to all those who applied, you should be contacted by us soon (if not already).

We're currently looking for a new proofreader -- someone with a good command of English, particularly grammar and spelling -- will be checking the spelling, punctuation and grammar of our articles and features (so we don't have to embarrass ourselves with our poor writing abilities).

Please list any previous experiences you've had with this position, such as editing for another website, English major, etc. As an added bonus, you'll be able to read all our articles and features weeks before they come out!

If you're interested, please contact us here.

Site Upgrade: We've just finished upgrading some softwares, as well as moving to a new server, which should fix the downtime issues we've been experiencing recently (and hopefully speed up site access). Please let us know if you notice anything broken or things that don't look right.

It's that time of the year again (hmm...is there a time?). ComiPress is currently looking for contributors who are interested in writing articles and columns on a monthly basis. If you are interested, please contact us through the Contact Form (please use a valid e-mail address) or reach us at this email address.

We're also looking for Japanese to English and/or English to Japanese translators. You will be translating Japanese news and articles into English. Having a basic concept of the manga industry is a plus. If you're still learning Japanese (or English), this will be a great opportunity for you to get more practice.

Again, if you are interested, please contact us via the Contact Form.

ComiPedia - ComiPedia received a new frontpage layout, comments and suggestions are welcome.

Forum - We have launched a new forum, feel free to drop by and chat with us!

News Filter - A better news filter has been implemented to replace the old Sort News page. The news filter is located in the top-left corner of the frontpage.

History of ComiPedia:

In the summer of 2003, a user on the AoD forum who goes by the name Usaku started a thread titled "Guide to Publishers and 'Phonebook' Manga - help welcomed." Many users contributed to the thread, most notably Ed Chavez (who went by the name Osaka at the time, and later went on to create MangaCast) and niche_manga_reader.
