New York Comic Con's Biggest Party EventIllusion TV and PopCultureShock.com have officially announced their plans for the New York Comic Con 2007, which include holding the premiere after party event of the year! Illusion (www.illusiontv.com) will be covering the entire New York Comic Con event with combined commentary from three of their television lineup favorites, Midtown Comics Live, Comic Book Club and PopCultureShock TV. Crews will be on the floor at all times bringing viewers the coolest action from the East Coast’s largest pop culture convention. PopCultureShock will have a presence at island #645 on the convention floor, where fans can pick up an exclusive 2007 sampler CD-Rom with trailers and comics from Marvel, TokyoPop, Microsoft’s CrackDown for Xbox 360, and Illusion’s TV lineup. But the action really kicks off at the “Illusion TV / PopCultureShock After Party” on Saturday February 24th. This year the event will be held at midtown Manhattan’s Slate Plus with two floors of dancing, drinks and gaming. The party has expanded to a level rarely seen in the comic book industry, with several exclusives and premieres happening throughout the night. Hundreds after party guests will walk away with a 128MB flash drive from Illusion and Marvel Entertainment containing a comic con premiere trailer for an upcoming Marvel comic book event that no fan can afford to miss! Slate’s huge screens will come to life with a premiere trailer from Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s “Grind House” while EA Games will be showcasing their newest, hottest titles. Not to mention a few surprises. The event will be emceed by the hosts of “Comic Book Club”, the only live weekly comic book talk show and New York Times favorite, and Illusion’s “Fan Girls” will give out special bonuses while DJs Dylan Garett (NYC) and Mr. Brown (Miami) keep the party moving until 4am, all with no cover.
