Aya Nakahara's Lovely Complex, also known as Love★Com, will be adapted into an anime TV series. After ending in Weekly Shonen Jump issue 30 and having published its "final chapter" in Akamaru Jump, Masanori Morita's Beshari Gurashi will resume serialization in Weekly Young Jump issue 7, on sale January 18th, 2007. This month Japan experienced its largest outbreak of infectious gastroenteritis, mainly caused by norovirus, in 25 years. In the latest Jump TOC, a quote from Katsura Hoshino, creator of D.Gray-man, read: "Sorry for carelessly contracting the norovirus, I will work even harder next year!" (不覚にもノロウィルスにやられてしまいました。来年は今年の何倍も頑張ります!). D.Gray-man will be absent in Weekly Shonen Jump No.3 (12/18). According to the TOC, the manga will return in Weekly Jump No.4+5. Takehiko Inoue's Slam Dunk is one of the most popular manga in the world. In 2004 Shueisha announced that it has sold over 100 million copies of Slam Dunk, which shows that the series is still being enjoyed by fans around the world 10 years after it ended in Weekly Shonen Jump. A month ago Takehiko Inoue established a new scholarship called Slam Dunk Scholarship. In response to the news, Shueisha interviewed Inoue, who talks about the purpose of the scholarship as well as his passion with basketball in Japan. According to the latest Shonen Jump Early Sales Info, a "One Piece x Dragonball" one-shot from Akira Toriyama and Eiichiro Oda will appear in Weekly Shonen Jump No.2, on sale 12/21. A preview of Takeshi Obata's upcoming manga Blue Dragon: Ral Ω Grado has appeared in the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. After a two months long hiatus, Hiroya Oku's popular seinen manga Gantz finally returns in this week's Young Jump under the name Gantz: 2nd Phase. With the return of Gantz, Hiroya Oku currently has two series running in Young Jump, Gantz and Me-Teru no Kimochi. According to the lastest Weekly Jump early sales info, the rumored new manga from Death Note creator Takeshi Obata, titled "Blue Dragon: RalΩGrado", will begin serialization Weekly Shonen Jump issue 1 (12/4).
