"We were eager to see more bl themed conventions start up," says Yaoi Press Publisher, Yamila Abraham. "The staff for two Phoenix area anime conventions approached us about starting one. Once we saw we had competent people to operate the show it was an easy decision for us." ANN reports that Tokyopop has licensed the sci-fi/shoujo manga Jyu Oh Sei by Natsumi Itsuki. From MangaCast comes the news that Dark Horse is on the verge of dropping Endo Hiroki's EDEN. From Yaoi Suki comes a huge list of new BL licenses announced during Anime Expo from 801 Media and June Manga. animeOnline reports that eigoManga will release a manga adaptation of Peter S. NETCOMICS, a New Jersey-based online/offline graphic novel publisher, will provide manga titles from Yaoi Press, an Original English Language (OEL) publisher of yaoi manga, through its website NETCOMICS.com starting June 15th. The website allows subscribers to sample opening chapters for free and to read entire volumes for about US$1.00 each. The Yaoi Press blog reports that Yaoi Press' manga has finally appeared on NETCOMICS' online website. The first chapter of the manga, Winter Demon by Studio Kosaru (art) and Yamila Abraham (story) can be viewed for free, while the remaining chapters are available for $0.25 per chapter.
