Popular series becomes one of the first Original English Language manga licensed for the Japanese market

(Ann Arbor, MI: June 10, 2007) - FredArt Studios and Dark Horse Comics announced today that Kodansha will publish a Japanese language edition of Megatokyo Volume 1 under the Kodansha Box imprint. It will contain the same material as the English language Dark Horse edition with additional notes and commentary for Japanese readers. It is the first Original English Language manga title to be licensed by Kodansha for the Japanese market.

From MangaCast comes the Diamond Previews for July 2007, which provides information on new U.S. releases for September/October 2007.

Panini of Brazil has announced its plans to publish numerous new titles in the Brazilian market in the next months. Newly announced licenses include Bleach, Princess Princess, Count Cain, Gantz, Vampire Knight and Blood - The Last Vampire.

The manga will be released in the following order: Blood - The Last Vampire in June at Fest Comix. Bleach and Vampire Knight in July. Princess Princess in August. Count Cain in December. Gantz has not received an official release date yet.

According to PEACH-PIT's latest weblog entry, due to the recent trouble and sudden suspension of Rozen Maiden, volume 8, the manga's final volume, will carry only chapters 41 to 43 and contains no extra artworks.
