This time Backstage takes a look at one of the oldest and most influential anime website - Anime Web Turnpike. Anipike is a name that every serious anime fan has at least heard once or twice. So why is Anipike so well-known? And why is that pink-haird Trixie Turnpike everywhere? Read on! AoD points out that Tokyopop will make three of its titles available on the web exclusively, the titles are Atomic King Daidogan, One, and Love Manga has posted the 2006 release schedule of the new U.K. manga publisher Tanoshimi. The Forbidden Planet blog has put up an interview with Stephen Robson of Fanfare/ Ponent Mon and Nadia Katz-Wise of Typocrat, both manga publishers in the U.K. The Zatch Bell anime will premiere this week on Cartoon Network Brazil. Behind the scene, the Globo Network (large brazilian broadcast channel that reaches 99% of the domestic territory) has acquired the exhibition rights to the anime. The premiere in the "open television" will happen in 2007.
