Precocious Curmudgeon points out that ICE Kunion's website now redirects to www.freemanhwa.com, which says on its frontpage "Check back in October 2007 for the latest Manhwa and Manga-Shojo, Doujinshin and it's all Free!"

According to a Super Dash Bunko advertisement that appeared in Weekly Shounen Jump No. 32 (7/9), Katayama Kentarou (Author) and Yamamoto Yamato (Illustrator)'s light novel series Kure-nai will be adapted into a manga.

The new manga will start in the first issue Shueisha's new magazine Jump Square (11/2). A preview of the manga will appear in Akamaru Jump (on sale in August).

ANN reports that Del Rey has announced at their AnimeNEXT panel two new acquisitions:

From animeOnline comes an interview with Yohei Takami, editor of Monthly Shonen Magazine. The interview touches on the work of an editor, and provides an extensive look at the manga Beck.

According to Square-Enix's official site, an important announcement regarding Masahiro Totsuka and Aguri Igarashi's Bamboo Blade will be made in the upcoming issue of Young Gangan (7/20).

From PingMag posts an interview with the "wild" mangaka Jun Hanyunyuu, whose work Koi no Mon (directed by Suzuki Matsuo)was selected for the 2004 Venice International Film Festival. In the interview Jun Hanyunyuu talks about his past, his experience drawing manga, as well as his hobbies.

Otaku blog ikimashou.net has announced the winners of its 1,000th post anime/manga/figurine contest.

Saint Seiya - The Lost Canvas is the newest manga to be published in Brazil by JBC Publishing. The first volume of the manga was released on the first day of AnimeCon, one
of the biggest conventions in Brazil.

The move was a great surprise for Brazilian Saint Seiya fans, because no one expected this manga so soon. Lost Canvas is drawn by by Shiori Teshirogi and written by Masami Kurumada, and was created to celebrate the original series' 20th anniversary.
