NewsOn June 15th, popular manga podcasting site MangaCast and MangaBlog announced the launch of MangaBlogCast, a collaboration between Brigid Alverson of MangaBlog and MangaCast Reviewer/Host Jack Tse hosted by MangaCast. The new podcast will combine the enthusiastic voice of Jack Tse and the informative manga news from MangaBlog to provide fans with a refreshing way to experience their favorite manga news articles. According to the preview of this month's Bessatsu Young Magazine, the popular Capcom game Gyakuten Saiban (Phoenix Wright) will be turned into a manga series. Kenji Kuroda will be in charge of the script, while Kazuo Maekawa will be the artist. The August issue of Shinyusha's PUSH!! will feature characters from Type-Moon and Leaf on the same cover. The special issue will take a look at Type-Moon and Leaf to see what it takes to be successful. No one can stop the momentum of the super supervisor! A special illustration card by the SOS Brigade will come with the second volume of "Haruhi Suzumiya no Yuutsu" (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya). On 6/19 Square-Enix announced that Final Fantasy: AC (DVD and UMD) has sold over 2,400,000 copies worldwide. In just a month after its debut in Japan (as DVD and UMD) on 9/14/2005, the sales of AC reached 700,000. On 1/16/2006 the numbers reached 1,000,000. Go! Comi will be holding a panel at Anime Expo on Sunday, July 2nd, at 5:00 PM in Live Programming Room #2. Mick Takeuchi, the creator of Go! Comi's best-selling series "Her Majesty's Dog" will be participating. At the panel Go! Comi will announce several new series. Go! Comi wi'll also do an extensive presentation, and discuss "Her Majesty's Dog" with Takeuchi-sensei. Expect a few surprises as well! The popular manga 'Lovely Complex ~Punch de Conto~' will be be made into a Videogame! ICv2 has compiled a list of the top 100 graphic novels in May according to estimates by Diamonds. |
