News3 new series starting in Monthly Shounen Jump: August Issue (7/6) Also an important announcement regarding Norihiro Yagi's Toei Animation and Gentosha recently announced "Ga-nime" (art anime), a new form of media that will display static art/drawings one by one, accompanied by music and speech. The first "Ga-nime" DVD will be released on August 1st, 9 other Ga-nime series will soon follow, each costing 3,129 yen. According to Seimaru Amagi's diary, Tantei Gakuen Q will be adapted into a dorama. Libre Publishing has launched the new B-Boy Web, and will be releasing new issues of Be x Boy Magazine and Be x Boy Gold in June, which has been on Hiatus After Biblos' bankruptcy. Starting with the 6/22 issue, Square Enix's Gangan Powered will become a bi-monthly magazine. A new project from ComiPress! Backstage is a feature where we take a in-depth look at various anime & manga related websites. On 6/10, Manga no Mori will be releasing 100 copies of Naked Star by Oh! Great as a special edition tankobon for 21,000 yen. The tankobon, printed on high quality paper, will come with exclusive artworks as well as Oh! Great's signature. From Media Factory comes a new monthly magazine called Comic Alive, the first issue will be released on June 27th. According to Media Factory, it will "fill you with energy, and make you feel alive!" |
