NewsThe winners of the 35th Japanese Cartoonists' Association Award (Nihon Mangaka Kyokai Awards) have been announced: The winners of the 30th Kodansha Manga Award have been announced. Kodansha Manga Award is awarded annually to works published in the previous year by Kodansha - one of the largest Japanese publishers. This year the winners are: - http://www.asahi.com/tezuka/ The winners of the 10th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award (sponsored by Asahi Shimbun) have been announced: According to "Seiyuu Animedia vol.11" (5/9), there will be a new Mahou Sensei Negima! anime series (Seiyuu: Kanda Akemi and Nonaka Ai). Akiba Angels has an English article about the proposed law, which is being proposed due to a perceived (no statistical analysis to back the claim up) increase in crimes influenced by manga, anime and videogames and would make it illegal for creators to depict sexual acts involving characters perceived to be under the age of 18 (again no objective guideline, other than a few arbitrary items such as lack of underhair). As part of its May advertising campaign, Super Jump is hosting the first chapters of select popular titles on their website for free viewing. The titles on display are - Akatsuki!!
