The anime Saint Seiya Tenkai-hen - Overture (Os Cavaleiros do Zodaco - O Filme: Prologo do Cu - portuguese title) will be delayed in Brazil. The initial date was set for September, but now the film will arrive in October instead. The voice actors have already been chosen. Gisaku is a Spanish anime-style anime that will arrive on the Brazilian market in the form of DVD. Gardena, CA, August 8, 2006 - Digital Manga Publishing wrapped up its summer convention season with new title announcements at its DMP panel at Otakon 2006. Flower of Life by Fumi Yoshinaga joins Vampire Hunter D and Megami DX in Digital Manga Publishing's line-up for 2007. The announcement of a Chinese film version of Slam Dunk has triggered an immense response from fans within China. Diehard fans of the Slam Dunk anime were exceptionally critical, fearing the classic series would be ruined just like what happened to the novels of Jin Yong (the film version of the novels weren't exactly great). The diehard fans declared that they would target the lead role actors Li Xue Qin (Kaede Rukawa) and Li Yi Lin (Hanamichi Sakuragi). The fans trash-talked the actors on bulletin boards, some of the more extreme SD fanatics announced that they plan to attack the two actors in an effort to prevent them from destroying the image of Slam Dunk. A new manga based on the Negima anime will start serialization in the November issue of Comic BomBom (10/14), the artist will be Takuya Fujima. DramaQueen has announced the following new licenses at Otakon: Yaoi: Manhwa: Brazilian brothers Monica and Mauricio Somenzari Leite Olivas are the winners of World Cosplay Summit 2006. The two cosplayed as Rosiel and Alexiel from Angel Sanctuary. Go Nagai (from the jury) said that the two brothers represented Brazil well: "Their presentation was good, and impressed all us". This is the first time Brazil participated in the World Cosplay Summit. The Editor-in-Chief of the popular shoujo manga magazine "Shoujo Comic" (Sho-comi) was disciplinarily dismissed on June 27th because of embezzlement. According to Shogakukan's public relations department, the Editor-in-Chief fabricated bills and claimed fake expenditure of over 10 million yen. The man was appointed as Editor-in-Chief of Sho-comi in July 2004. From around the Spring of 2003 till the Spring of 2006, the man claimed approximately 100,000 yen over and over on the bills of a bar. When the Editor-in-Chiefâs superior discovered his suspicious claims and questioned him, he confessed to the embezzlement. The man has since compensated for all of the embezzled money, and Shougakukan doesn't intend to charge him. Shougakukan's public relations department stated: "we will increase our education on compliance." |
