2006 Hong Kong Comics FestivalThe 2006 Hong Kong Comics Festival (8th Hong Kong Ani-Com/ 3rd Hong Kong Game Fair) will take place between 7/28-8/1 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year an estimated 480,000 people are expected to attend. Companies and officials from Mainland China are expected to attend, and will be discussing the future of Anime/Manga in China with the help of Hong Kong's market. The popular Chinese Anime/Manga portal 21CN is giving away 1000 free tickets to 21CN members, members from Anime/Manga societies, as well as winners of its Anime/Manga Questions Contest. The Comic Festival started in 1998, with the Hong Kong Games Festival joining it in 2004. Tthis year the Comic Festival was renamed to Hong Kong Ani-Com. |
