There already are a number of versions of the novel available actually...
SoftGarage Publishing has seven volumes of the novel anthology out since 2005.
Ichijinsha will release one next month.
SquareEnix has four versions that tie into the manga they have released.
MediaWorks has also released two called Higuarshi no Naku Goro ni Matsuri.
