theOtaku, Go! Comi and Del Rey Manga Announces Fan Manga and Anime Art Contests at the New York Anime FestivaltheOtaku.com has teamed up with Go! Comi and the organizers (same people behind NY Comic-Con) of the New York Anime Festival to hold the Go! Comi and theOtaku.com Doujinshi Contest. The deadline is November 1, all artists are encouraged to send in their five-page doujinshi based on Go! Comi's Black Sun, Silver Moon by uploading the entry to the New York Anime Festival section of theOtaku.com. The 15 finalists will be selected by Go! Comi, theOtaku.com, and the New York Anime Festival in November, and will be put on display at the AnimeNEXT Manga Library at the New York Anime Festival. The winner will then be selected by attendees of New York Anime Festival and announced during the Anime Festival's Closing Ceremonies. More information on the Doujinshi Contest available here. Also announced is the the Del Rey Manga and TheOtaku.com Art Contest, where artists are asked to send in their original artwork expressing the theme of "winter."
