Adult PC Game "A Drug That Makes You Dream" Declared Golden MasterSan Diego, California, Friday, March 30, 2007. Peach Princess, a leading publisher of Japanese PC dating-sim games in English, announced that its latest title, Yume Miru Kusuri :: A Drug That Makes You Dream has gone "Golden Master." An interactive dating simulation game for Windows, intended for adults aged 18 and older, this is the latest in the company's popular lineup of anime-style interactive games for the English-speaking market. The game is published by JAST USA under its Peach Princess label. The game is set in a pastel-hued vision of postmodern Japan, where you take on the role of student Kagami and guide him on his quest to find meaning in his somewhat pointless life. As the game unfolds, you interact with several girls, each potentially possessing the answer you've been seeking. Major game characters include Mizuki, the reckless student council president who is always concerned about her image; Aeka, the target of merciless bullying because she stands out from the other students; and a strange catgirl named Nekoko who has many mysteries about her that must be solved. In addition to a variety of erotic interludes with all characters, the game deals with hard-hitting themes important in modern Japan, including ijime (bullying), drug abuse, exploration of sex, and even suicide. An example of one scene from the game: Wanting to appear grown-up, Mizuki takes out a pack of cigarettes when the main character is near. He's never smoked, but pretends to be an experienced smoker to impress her. In the end, both end up in coughing fits, and it's obvious that both were bluffing. The experience brings them closer together and leads to their sexual coupling in several paths in the game. Ever since the first computers with color displays, Japan has had a strong culture of "love simulation" computer games, which simulate emotional and sexual interaction between the player and various game characters when the player "wins" the love of a given character. PC dating-sim games are often referred to "hentai" or "H" games by U.S. fans. JAST USA has been involved in licensing and translating Japanese dating-sim games since 1998, and is the leading producer and distributor of English-language PC games for adults in any form. The company has a catalog of over 50 English-translated games with every theme from maids to "cat girls" and more. Game titles are available to retail customers via http://www.jastusa.com or for wholesale customers at http://www.pcrdist.com/. |

What kind of name is that for a game? I encourages drugs....and smoking and drinking

These type of games are not good for people. Instead of making one more outgoing and less shy it creates a fictional world where the player is the king. That's not reality, things don't happen in real life as in the game. I like playing Online Backgammon for example. But that's simply a different thing.
Today these games are made
Today these games are made for adults and the kids play them. They can get these games from the torrents. So this means that this game is not only for adults. The company that made it knew exactly what they are doing, but for them not to get in trouble they said that this game is for adults. And the biggest mistake is the drug part. If someone should try this game live they will end up in a drug addiction treatment center for nothing. Just like some kids in Japan experimented on them selves after seeing Harry Potter.

you 3 are a perfect example of a waste of space on the internet, how do kids get a hold of these games because people like you are completely inadequate to be parents. That is the bottom line.
Your only defense for being bad parents is coming up with lame excuses such as "well they go to their friends and download", " I can't watch them all the time on the internet" (most likely cause you are too busy watching tv or cheating on your spouse), "kids these days" .... kids are like this because YOU made them this way, and the only way you can take the heat off yourselves is to blame the programmers of these games. How pathetic does that make you.
What?
First off, should you adults really be having a flame war over a game? It's out, it's available to the public. There's nothing you can do about it now. If your kids are playing these kinds of games maybe it's time to have a sit-down chat about the birds, and the bees rather then having them make some horrible mistake in their lives. Also, whoever is calling people a waste of space should deeply consider their own existence before laying judgement down on others. Also, I don't recall any of the former posts remarking on how their kids are getting a hold of these games, and they as the parents are just to lazy to stop it. So wither I'm blind, or you're just projecting so hard you could show a 3D powerpoint complete with notes. Whatever, the point is that this is just a game. It's a rather good game, too. Considering alternative dating sims, and spankie games which have more BDSM then two hookers with only one arm between them. So what's the problem. This thread is supposed to be a comment on the game. If you've played, then leave a comment. If you're just someone with nothing better to do then piss on everyone else rather then enact a being of polite consultation, that's your problem, but please take it elsewhere.
Back to the game, I give this game three out of four stars. As a nineteen year old, strait, girl I feel this games only flaws are the obviously premature teens running amok which the english has dubbed over, so they appear to US as eighteen, and up. The art is nice, and the story is relatively decent. The concept is very new, and I hope to see more games like this in the future. Also, the fact that this is the only date-sim, translated into english, featuring a homosexual makes it fairly unique. The charactors are also fairly well rounded, while not being to perfect. In fact, if you were to replace the sex with some mind-blowing combat sequences I'm fairly sure this would be the best game ever. Two automatic gold stars for the genre, and if you're into this kind of thing I highly recomend you give it a shot.

Wow.
Stop making such a big deal over a game. This game isn't that popular from what I know, I found out about, like 1 or 2 years ago. >> And also, from what I know, and pretty sure of, this game doesn't ENCOURAGE drugs. Seriously, one of the girls has a problem with drugs, so? The main character is HELPING that girl get OVER the drugs. It's not encouraging it. And if kids are playing it, oh well, bad parents I guess. Just leave it alone.
