Akita ShotenA new manga titled My-Otome Arashi will begin serialization in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion issue 18 (3/29). The new manga is written by Higuchi Tatsuhito & Yoshino Hiroyuki and drawn by Sato Kenetsu, the same team that worked on My-Otome. Also a new series titled Shiritsu Sousei Gakuen by Nikuboshi will begin serialization in issue 17 (3/22) of Weekly Shonen Champion. Written by Etsuko Ikeda and illustrated by Yuuho Ashibe, Bride of Deimos, which began in 1975, is one of Akita Shoten's most popular shojo manga and one of Akita Shoten's four longest-running series, with 17 tankoubons and 12 bunko-sized books (pocket/novel-sized re-packagings of the tankoubon) released to date. Two new manga magazine released in November: Akita Shoten: Home-Sha: A new Iron Wok Jan manga from Shinji Saijyo will begin serialization in Weekly Shonen Champion No.50, on sale 11/9. The new series will be titled "Iron Wok Jan: Summit Battle" Akita Shoten will be releasing a new bishoujo magazine titled "Champion Red Ichigo" later this year. The official website of Young Champion Retsu has been launched. Announced in Young Champion No. 12 (5/22), a new magazine from Akita Shoten called Young Champion Retsu will be released on 6/20. Young Champion Retsu will act as a special issue of Young Champion, and will be released bi-monthly (on the 3rd Thuesday) for 390 yen. From Akita Shoten comes a new josei magazine titled "Cherry PINK." The first issue will be released on May 15th. |
