According to Chuosha, the November issue (9/19) of Tokuma Shoten's Comic Ryu will come with a free DVD of the Legend of the Galactic Heroes film: Legend of the Galactic Heroes: My Conquest is the Sea of Stars. The special supplement is meant to celebrate the 1 year revival of Comic Ryu, as well as the 20th anniversary of the Legend of the Galactic Heroes novels.

Ghibli World has posted a detailed report on the recent passing away of Animage founder and Editor-in-Chief Hideo Ogata, including his history, achievements, and messages from Studio Ghibli.

Hideo Ogata (73), Animage's first Editor-in-Chief, passed away on January 25th due to stomach cancer. Ogata was involved in the planning of the Legend of the Galactic Heroes movies, and in 1978 founded Animage after joining Tokuma Shoten. Today Animage is one of the best-selling anime magazines in Japan.
