According to (Ms.) Tomo Kimura's Translation Notes, mangaka Ai Yazawa has recovered from her illness, and as a result, Nana will resume serialization in Shueisha's Cookie magazine:

NANA has resumed with the issue of Cookie that just went on sale. There was a message from Yazawa-sensei on the mobile NANA site that she's fully recovered now, so I guess we’ll be able to read the series every month.

From Daily Yomiuri Online comes an article titled "Firms launch New Manga in Shrinking Market," which looks at how Shueisha and Kadokawa Shoten are launching new manga magazines in a "declining magazine market":

While Japan's domestic comic magazine market is gradually shrinking, two major publishers have recently inaugurated monthly comic compilations--Shueisha Inc's Jump SQ. (Square) for boys and Kadokawa Shoten's Kerokero A (Ace) for children. Can they keep young readers from moving away from the magazines and find a foothold in the shrinking market?

Penguin Revolution (ペンギン 革命) by Sakura Tsukuba is coming to an end in the upcoming issue of Hakusensha's LaLa.

Golden Days (ゴールデン・デイズ) by Shigeru Takao and Karakuri Odette (カラクリオデット) by Julietta Suzuki will be ending in the upcoming issue of Hana to Yume.

Moon Phase reports that the love/comedy light novel series Kanokon by Katsumi Nishino (story) and Koin (art) will be adapted into an anime. The light novel is currently being published by Media Factory, with a manga version drawn by Rin Yamaki serialized in Comic Alive.

According to Ichijinsha, the seasonal manga magazine WARD will become a bi-monthly magazine starting with the 2007 Winter issue (Vol.19).

According to this press release, software developer Voice Bank, together with Digital Manga Association Japan, will has announced at the International Comic Artist Conference in Hong Kong its plan to deliver manga to Apple's iPhone and iPod under the name "Digital Manga Project":

With a unique touch panel instead of a keypad, iPhone/iPod touch are one of the most desired mobile devices since arriving this year. With cooperation of the Digital Manga Association of Japan, Voice Bank, Inc, has started a 'Digital Manga Project'(http://www.digitalmanga.org), that enables users to view Manga on their iPhone/iPod touch by Safari.
