The special issue will take a look at Type-Moon and Leaf to see what it takes to be successful. No one can stop the momentum of the super supervisor! A special illustration card by the SOS Brigade will come with the second volume of "Haruhi Suzumiya no Yuutsu" (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya). On 6/19 Square-Enix announced that Final Fantasy: AC (DVD and UMD) has sold over 2,400,000 copies worldwide. In just a month after its debut in Japan (as DVD and UMD) on 9/14/2005, the sales of AC reached 700,000. On 1/16/2006 the numbers reached 1,000,000. Go! Comi will be holding a panel at Anime Expo on Sunday, July 2nd, at 5:00 PM in Live Programming Room #2. Mick Takeuchi, the creator of Go! Comi's best-selling series "Her Majesty's Dog" will be participating. At the panel Go! Comi will announce several new series. Go! Called the "e-Taku Sales Service" (e-Taku being a combination of the word "itaku (consignment)" and the "e-" prefix, favored by businesses around the globe in the heydays of the dot-com boom of the late 90's), it would allow individuals to consign products they own the rights to to Amazon, and in exchange for an annual membership fee of 9000 yen ($78.50 USD) and 40% of the price of the item (37% for games and software), Amazon would sell the item just like any other product, and offer 24/7 shipping.

Four titles, translated and packaged by Dark Horse, will be released in September: Jinxed, adapted by Akemi Maki, Never Kiss a Stranger adapted by Maya Kasumi, No Competition adapted by Yukino Hara, and A Prince Needs a Princess adapted by Reiko Kishida.

When you get past the advertisements and flash animations, what you will find on most Chinese manga portals are news, informations, discussions, and last but not least, a large amount of downloadable contents such as manga, anime, and more (some free, but most require a paid membership). This growing trend of offering downloadable contents without license has raised concerns within the Chinese manga community over the future and growth of the manga community in China as a whole. 
ComiPress teams up with writer Udagawa Takeo and translator John Gallagher to publish an online version of the English-language translation of Manga Zombie.
