ShogakukanA manga adaptation of singer Eikichi Yazawa's autobiography Nariagari, titled Nariagari: Yazawa Eikichi Monogatari (成り上がり 矢沢永吉物語) (drawn by Sho Kitagawa), began in Kadokawa Shoten's Comic Charge No.3 (1/15). Also, Tohru Fujisawa, mangaka of Great Teacher Onizuka (GTO), will begin a new series titled Anhapi-! (Unhappy!) (アンはぴっ!) in Comic Charge No.5 (2/19). Two new one-shots Ginga -Nagareboshi Gin- Special Chapter (Part 1) (銀牙-流れ星 銀- 特別編 (前編)) by Yoshihiro Takahashi and Metaborika (めたボリカ) by Yuzuki Hikaru, will appear in Shueisha's Business Jump No.5 (2/1). Two new series, Alice no 100℃c (アリスの100℃c) by Chizuna Nakajima (mangaka of Iinari! Aibration) and Yakuza Girl ~Blade Shikake no Hanayome~ (ヤクザガール ~ブレイド仕掛けの花嫁~) by Okuma Yu-go, will begin serialization in the April issue of Akita Shoten's Champion RED (2/19). A new manga titled Nana to Kaoru (ナナとカオル) from Ryuta Amazume, mangaka of Toshiue no Hito, began serialization in Hakusensha's Young Animal Arashi No.2, on sale 1/4. Source: Ultimatum The Daily Yomiuri reports that Tokyo University Hospital in Bunkyo Ward has been asked to act as a consultant for Yakitate!! Japan creator Takashi Hashiguchi's new medical manga, Saijo no Meii (The Best Skilled Surgeon), which is currently serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday. This is the first time a hospital has acted as a consultant for a manga: Both Ultimatum and Moon Phase are reporting that, according to the latest issue of Shogakukan's Big Comic, Takao Saito's long-running manga series Golgo 13 will be adapted into an anime. Weekly Jump Reader's Journal reports that "throughout Jump's 40th anniversary year, the spine of each and every Jump issue will connect together to form one massive image to celebrate the anniversary." A new medical manga titled Saijou no Meii (最上の命医) by Takashi Hashiguchi, mangaka of Yakitate!! Japan, will begin serialization in Weekly Shounen Sunday No.1 (12/5). Shoujo Comic, also known as Sho-Comi, was launched in 1968 by Shogakukan. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the Sho-Comi magazine will begin using a new logo starting with the January New Year's issue (on sale 12/5). A new manga titled Angel Bank -Dragon Sakura Gaiden- (エンゼルバンク -ドラゴン桜外伝-) by Norifusa Mita will begin serialization in Morning No.45 (10/11). A new series from Moyoco Anno titled Moonlight Himejion (月光ヒメジオン) will begin serialization in the December issue of Nakayoshi (11/2). Two new manga, Mahiru no Nagareboshi ☆☆ (まひるの流れ星☆☆) by Iwao Kameme and Fukoumori ~Kyoumo Unhappy!?~ (フコウモリ ~きょうもアンハッピー!?~) by JINCO, will start in the December issue of Ciao. During an interview with Detective Conan (also known as Case Closed) mangaka Goushou Aoyama conducted by Sankei Shimbun, the manga artist hinted at the conclusion of the popular shonen detective manga. A new serialization titled Saruman 2.0 (サルまん2.0) by Kentaro Takekuma and Aihara Kooji will begin in the December issue of Shogakukan's Ikki (10/25). The original Saruman, more commonly known as Even a Monkey Can Draw Manga, provides useful information and parodies about creating and analyzing manga stories in the manga industry.
