Latin AmericaIvrea Publishing has announced an event to commemorate the 40th edition of the magazine Lazer, one of the most well-known publications on anime and manga in Argentina. The event, called "Night Lazer," will take place in Buenos Aires on December 7th. The event will only open to people who are over 18 years old. The Ivrea website promises anime, music and cosplay at the event. Source: Papo de Budega Ivrea Publishing has announced that it plans to release Takehiko Inoue's samurai manga Vagabond (バガボンド) in Argentina. The manga will have approximately the same format as its Japanese counterpart (12,8 x 18 cm). Ivrea promises that the manga will be released in the beginning of 2007, in either February or March. Masami Toku is the special guest of the Anime and Manga Festival hosted by the Japan Embassy at Venezuela. She will be showing her research on "Shojo Manga Power!" San Francisco, CA, October 26, 2006 - VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), one of the entertainment industry's most innovative and comprehensive publishing, animation and licensing companies has selected Licensing & Promotions Latin America as its new representative for ZATCH BELL! and NARUTO in Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia. Licensing & Promotions Latin America represents King Features, Spellbound, Sulake, New Line Cinema and Rainbow among others. They will be an extension of VIZ Media within these markets and represent VIZ Media to local licensees, retailers and promotional partners. VIZ Media will be releasing Death Note in various European countries later this year as reported earlier. However, on the topic of whether the company will bring Death Note to other parts of the world, VIZ informed Papo de Budega that it currently doesn't have plans of releasing the manga in Brazil and other Latin America countries.
